The RL33 – SkyWheel is in 2016 manufactured by Reuzenrad Lamberink for own use. The SkyWheel has been on many events, festivals and fairs in the summer of 2016.

“In May 2010, Q-music’s Rotating Studio was installed on the Boelelaan in Amsterdam This was only possible thanks to Jan and Kokkie’s enthusiasm! Together with them, a special cabin was designed in which a radio studio was built. Finally, after almost two weeks of rotation, a lucky winner went home with € 25,000.”

“Converting a Ferris Wheel into a radio studio seemed like an impossible task. We at Q-music had already thought up a lot of stunts, but this was really over the top. When the idea first surfaced, two questions immediately came to mind. Firstly, who would have a Ferris Wheel available, and secondly, who would be mad enough to convert it into a radio studio.”
“After an online search, we came into contact with Jan and Kokkie from Enschede, the Netherlands. The introductory talks went really well. Everyone thought it was a good idea, and nothing seemed impossible. After several months, a pile of technical drawings and a lot of experimentation, a rotating radio studio for Q-music was presented in Antwerp, Belgium. The entire Flemish press was impressed, and there were reports about the wheel in just about every newspaper and magazine in Flanders.”
